• CAREFULLY read through their company policies taking careful note of their return policies and shipping policies.  Many times, there are customer complaints in regards to these areas of service because MOST online companies will charge a restocking fee of a certain percentage for restocking or that the shipping fee is non-refundable and such things as that.  There may also be some items that are not refundable--usually in the case of custom-made items. As for shipping of larger items, most companies only will ship curbside-that means the product only comes to your curb and YOU would be responsible of taking it off the truck and taking the product in yourself.  In order for the freight company to do it for you, they'll charge extra fees in most cases. Just make sure to look through their whole policy and call and ask if there's something that's unclear to you in it.
• For getting the best prices, look for discounts.  Discounted items do not necessarily always mean a used, repaired or damaged item. Sometimes, it could simply be because the company trying to get rid of inventory!

All in all, buying online should be a fun experience if you follow these guidelines and tips. Just make sure to take your time and not rush into anything (however, make sure you do take note of limited time sales or specials!) and you'll be on your way to being an online shopping pro!
